Job Hunting? Tips On How Your Online Profile Can Help

We recently sponsored The Drum’s recruitment feature (20th Aug) where Twist’s MD Paul Wood wrote an article on job hunting. The article discusses how if executed correctly, your online profile can in fact increase your chances of employment.

Paul also states how this can swing the other way. The real lesson here is to understand that it’s really easy to create an online professional you!  Recruiters, specifically head-hunters spend their days searching LinkedIn for candidates to fill roles for their client – if you aren’t on LinkedIn you are seriously missing out! You can cut out the hard work yourself and be discovered by a potential employer…

Get connecting! That doesn’t mean connect with everyone but the more connections you have, the easier you are to discover, you will appear in other peoples LinkedIn feeds and as a result your profile will be of interest – people will want to know who you are and what you do. If your LinkedIn profile isn’t complete or you have serious miss-types then hit edit now and get it polished! After all, this is how you will be perceived and we all know first impressions count, in person or in this case, online.

Check out the article here for more!
